Admission Policy

Eikei University of Hiroshima offers opportunities to its students to become persons who bravely try to identify unsolved challenges and to tenaciously pave the way for the new era, in this unceratin period, with willingness to contribute to local communities and to the world. The university expects for potential students with following Characterisitics, Abilities and Mindset, from Japan and abroad.

  • The university is under review of the MEXT (the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in Japan) for approval of its establishment.
  • This information is the latest plan and may be subject to change without notice.
  • The official Application Guidebook will be posted upon the MEXT approval of establishment. Please return to check it in coming months.
  • As preventive measures against COVID-19, the University plans to conduct all exams online.

◆The feature points of entrance examinations

  •  Applicants will be evaluated synthetically and multi-dimensionally the following points. (Please refer the Admission Policy).

        - Knowledge and skills acquiered in secondary school
        - Communication skills
        - Curiosity / Inquiring mind
        - Attitude toward leaning and activities, etc.

  • For International Students Selection:

        - EJU (Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students) is not required for applying to the university.

        - Japanese Language Proficiency Test score (e.g. JLPT) is not necessary either.

 

◆Application Requirements on English Language Proficiency
Applicatnts must submit a document certifying English language proficiency in one of the following two options, as a part of application documents.

1) For applicants who did not receive secondary education in English
Scores of internationally recognaized English proficiency examinations
A valid test score from the list of examinations below (taken within 2 years, on the last day of the application period) must be submitted

Certificate of having taken the classes listed on your transcript in English, issued by the secondary school attended.

 

International Students Selection / 留学生選抜
(Autumn (September) Admission)

Note that an applicant can apply for eiher this International Student Selection or Integrated Selection (Autumn (September) Admission ).

  • EJU (Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students) is not required for applying to the university.
  • Japanese Language Proficiency Test score (e.g. JLPT) is not necessary either.
Eligibility
Requirement

Applicants who have a foreign nationality (non-Japanese) and satisfy all the following requirements;
1.Those who satisfy one of the followings
(1)Have completed or are expected to complete secondary education and formal school education for 12 years or more in Japan or abroad by September 30, 2021.
(2)Have completed or are expected to complete secondary education and formal school education for 12 years at an international school in Japan or outside that has been accredited by an international accreditation institution (the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), or the European Council of International Schools (CIS) ) by September 30, 2021.
(3)Are 18 years old or older as of the expected enrollment date, AND you are recognized individually by the university as having met the requirements equivalent to (1) or (2) above.
2.Can submit a certificate of English language proficiency listed on "English Language Proficiency" section, as a part of application documents.(CEFR B2 of higer)
3.Are able to take classes in English.

Integrated Selection / (日本人学生向け)総合型選抜
(Autumn (September) Admission)

Note that it is not permitted to submit dual applications for this selection and International Students Selection (Autumn (September) Admission ).

Eligibility
Requirement
Applicants who have a Japanese Nationality and satisfy all the following requirements;
1.Those who satisfy one of the followings
(1)Have completed or are expected to complete secondary education andformal school education for 12 years or more outside Japan by September 30, 2021.
(2)Have completed or are expected to complete formal school education at aforeign school in Japan, designated by MEXT as is equivalent to a high school in Japan.
(3)Have completed or are expected to complete secondary education andformal school education for 12 years at an international school in Japan or outside that has been accredited by an international accreditation institution (the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), or the European Council of International Schools (CIS) ) by September 30, 2021.
(4)You are 18 years old or older as of the expected enrollment date, AND you are recognized individually by the university as having met the requirements equivalent to (1) or (2) or (3) above.
2.Can submit a certificate of English language proficiency listed on "English Language Proficiency" section, as apart of application documents. (CEFR B2 of higer)
3.Are able to take classes in English.
