参加者がいろんな国の国連大使となってグローバルな課題について話し合う第8回模擬国連広島大会(安全保障理事会)を以下の要領で開催します。

○ Draft Resolution 2098
The Security Council,
Decides that Japan and China shall agree to have the territorial dispute over the Senkaku/Diaoyu islands tried before the International Court of Justice,Decides that within one month after the of the ICJ’s judgment, the respective governments’ leaders, the prime minister of Japan and the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, shall declare that they will fully accept and honor ICJ’s judgment,Decides that if one or both parties fail to declare that it/they will honor the judgment within one month after ICJ’s judgment, the UNSC requests all the UN member states to immediately terminate import of any goods from or originated from the country/countries until the UNSC alters this request at a later date.

○ Draft Resolution’s Short Form: The territorial dispute over the Senkaku/Diaoyu islands

○T he countries currently represented in this Security Council:Japan, USA, Philippines, China, Cuba, Cambodia, South Korea, Denmark, Sweden, France, Botswana, Zimbabwe

○ For Guests:
1.You may join a country in the list above, or you may represent a country which is not on the list yet.
2.If there would be 15 countries or less, then it will take 9 countries’ votes to pass the draft resolution. If there would be more than 15 countries in the meeting, then we will use a simple majority vote to pass the draft resolution.
3.Ordinary, draft resolutions are rewritten many times to win necessary support. However, due to time constraint, we will not do so. Instead, we will simply debate the given draft resolution as is and try to pass/fail/veto it.
